Postdoctoral Position in Immunology

We are looking for highly motivated postdoctoral fellows to join the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the lab of Dr. Feyza Engin. The lab aims to understand the mechanisms of pancreatic beta cell dysfunction and death in autoimmune diabetes, with focus on stress, beta cell-immune cell crosstalk and other mechanisms that may contribute to beta cell death. More information about our research and publications (Cell Metab, 2020, Sci Tansl Med, 2013, Cell Rep 2016) can be found at https://enginlab.org/

The project focuses on investigating the mechanisms of induction of immune tolerance and pancreatic beta cell-T cell crosstalk in a recently generated genetic model of ER stress in NOD mice.

Candidates must possess a recent PhD or MD/PhD in immunology, or related disciplines with peer-reviewed publications. Experience in T cell biology, and/or autoimmune disease models is preferred. One or more of the following skills is highly desired: Working with transgenic mouse colonies, immunological assays (adoptive transfers, immunophenotyping, multicolor FACS analysis), or prior experience with large data sets (sc-RNAseq, proteomics).

To apply, please send a current CV, a cover letter briefly describing your qualifications relevant to the position, and the contact information of three references to Dr. Feyza Engin at fengin@wisc.edu
