Immunology Focus area: B cell lymphoma and biology
Descriptive Title of Research: B cell receptor and JAK-STAT signaling in B cell lymphoma
Research Description:The major research interest in Dr. Rui’s laboratory is the mechanisms of the B cell receptor (BCR) and JAK-STAT signaling pathways in lymphomagenesis. His research team employs a multidisciplinary approach, using biochemistry, RNA interference, next-generation sequencing (including ChIP-seq and RNA-seq), CRISPR/Cas9 and systems biology methods, to identify target genes downstream of BCR and JAK-STAT signaling in B cell lymphoma. The goal of his research is to discover effective molecular targets in these pathways for therapeutic, diagnostic and prognostic development of B cell lymphoma.
